Texture

A knot that was protuding from a wooden fence. Just cropped, converted to black & white and added a chocolate layer.

Great shot, makes you wonder how they mill planks like that.

Oh, very pretty! You captured the texture well and I really like how you chose to compose with the knot off-center. Black & white is the perfect treatment to focus attention on the detail of the textured plank.

Great texture for the theme. When you say chocolate is that a filter or the color of chocolate? It looks great.

It is a layer filled with a chocolate color, then you use a blend mode like soft light and adjust the opacity. Seems to give the b/w a little more depth on some photos.

I like the slight tint to this one. A great Texture. I love these kinds of photos because, like clouds, we all see something different in them. This really sparks the imagination. Nice job.

Nice tinting of the color….I love adding chocolate filters to my black and whites….it just gives it that extra something special – nice processing!

I love how you composed this. The toning really adds to the contrast somehow.

This is an intriguing picture visually, especially because of the contrast in both color and texture between the know and the surrounding wood.

The processing you added to the image really enhances the texture feel to the fence. The knot is set off quite nicely.

The black & white helps show the different textures. I like how you can see the grain of the posts in addition to the know.

So things just look better without color to mess it up.

Love textured tree images! This is lovely. I am hoping this year to learn to use Photoshop! Most of my pics are SOOC and just perhaps cropped and brightened etc. So much to learn!
